The 24th PURPLE General Assembly and associated events were hosted by the Randstad Region and took place in the Rotterdam / The Hague area in the Netherlands on 8,9 and 10 June 2016.

On the second day of the programme (9 June) a seminar was held at Schipluiden - Midden-Delfland on 'Preserving the unique characteristics of peri-urban areas and their importance for the attractiveness of living, working and investing in cities'
