Conference in Valence: Making room for both high quality agriculture and urbanisation

As part of PURPLE's General Assembly in Rhône-Alpes, the Rhône-Alpes Regional Council and the Association of Mayors and Federation of Municipalities of the Drôme department (AMD) hosted this conference and debate on 12 June, 2014.

Pierre-Jean VEYRET, Vice-president of the Drôme Departmental Council opened the event.

Michel Gregoire, Vice-President of the Regional Council in charge of Agriculture and Rural development, President of the PURPLE network gave a short introduction about the work of PURPLE.

Mr Bernard Soulage, Vice President of the Regional Council in charge of Europe and international affairs reviewed the European policy context.
